Jeremiah had an awful calling. His job was to stand up to the people of Judah and tell them about God's coming judgment. He lived to see Babylon sack Jerusalem, loot the temple, and kidnap the children. He watched his nightmares all come true. Through It all, he remained faithful and hopeful. One of the last things he did was buy a field to show his certainty that God would restore Israel. He believed God's promises were for good not for evil.
