IDENTITY. DISCIPLESHIP. MULTIPLICATION
"RiverOaks Student Ministry strives to be about three things at theCore: IDENTITY(know who you are), DISCIPLESHIP(grow in who you are), and MULTIPLICATION(meet others where they are)."
At RiverOaks, our Student Ministry is not a separate ministry disconnected from the beauty of the local church, but seeks to be an integral part of its glorious body (1 Cor. 12:12-20), while also addressing the unique needs and challenges of teenagers in a post-modern and post-Christian world. With a secular culture trying to escape this world, and a Christian culture hoping to avoid it, we aim to be a part of the Church which follows Jesus into it, humbly bearing the Cross.
Our junior and senior high students meet weekly for worship on Sunday nights @ 5:30-8:00p (called theCore) in the Youth and Activities Building(YAB). Our Jr. High & Sr. High meet every other Wednesday at the YAB or in the homes of youth families during the school year. Throughout the summer and over spring/fall breaks there are also opportunities to attend youth camps, community service projects, and other community building activities.
